No âmbito da programação de Bradford, e após a antestreia em Portugal (Julho de 2025) CHASING THE WIND teve estreia mundial em Bradford, no âmbito da Cidade da Cultura do Reino Unido a que se seguiu uma apresentação no Derby Theatre (14 de julho). A história é narrada através da personagem Micka, uma jovem de catorze anos que escuta no ar aquilo que os adultos ainda não conseguem dizer, somos chamados a esse lugar onde começa o movimento: o rumor, a inquietação, a coragem de escutar o que está por vir. Desenhado com uma forte componente musical com música e canto ao vivo, estes diferentes corpos que falam em várias línguas abordam as questões climáticas, uma linguagem sem fronteiras que não precisa de tradução. Com encenação de Fraser Corfiel, direção músical de Danielle O’Keefe e coreografia de Siobhan McKenna, o elenco incluía Ena Jagec, Giuditta Mingucci, James Mounsey, os cantores/músicos Leila Harris, Iris Simpson, Tallulah Simpson, Soren Goulding e o actor do Bando, Raul Atalaia. As part of Bradford’s program, and following its preview in Portugal (July 2025), CHASING THE WIND had its world premiere in Bradford as part of the UK City of Culture, followed by a performance at the Derby Theatre (July 14). The story is told through the character Micka, a fourteen-year-old girl who hears in the air what adults still cannot say; we are drawn to that place where the movement begins: the murmur, the unease, the courage to listen to what is to come. Designed with a strong musical component featuring live music and singing, these diverse bodies speaking in various languages address climate issues—a language without borders that needs no translation.
